Group Exhibition

27 September – 29 November 2026

Following the exhibition Being There—which showcased male bodies in nature—Maison Louis Carré now explores the theme from a female perspective. Coming from five countries ranging from Iceland to Senegal, the five artists approach this subject through drawing, photography, painting, paper-cutting, reliefs, sculpture, and video. Many of the works are site-specific for the exhibition. These five artists offer us images of the world around us, of the human beings who inhabit it, and of the inner world that serves as its vibrant resonance.

The artists presented are: Emmy Bergsma (Netherlands), Binta Diaw (Senegal-Italy), Guðný Rósa Ingimarsdóttir (Iceland), Kaia Kiik (Estonia) and Josefina Nelimarkka (Finland).
