Trees, Clouds and other Bodies

Following the exhibition Being There—which showcased male bodies in nature—Maison Louis Carré now explores the theme from a female perspective. Coming from five countries ranging from Iceland to Senegal, the five artists approach this subject through drawing, photography, painting, paper-cutting, reliefs, sculpture, and video. Many of the works are site-specific for the exhibition

The artists presented are: Emmy Bergsma (Netherlands), Binta Diaw (Senegal-Italy), Guðný Rósa Ingimarsdóttir (Iceland), Kaia Kiik (Estonia) and Josefina Nelimarkka (Finland).
